Who says you're only young once?
Overview
In 1989, Mike O'Donnell was a high school basketball star with a promising future. However, when his girlfriend, Scarlet Porter, revealed she was pregnant, Mike chose to support her, abandoning his scholarship and dreams of a professional career. Decades later, at 37, Mike's life has stagnated; his marriage to Scarlet is on the brink of divorce, and his relationship with their children, Maggie and Alex, is strained. After being fired from his job, Mike moves in with his best friend, Ned Gold, a wealthy tech entrepreneur.
One day, Mike encounters a mysterious janitor who grants his wish to relive his youth. He awakens in his 17-year-old body, now posing as "Mark Gold," Ned's son, and re-enrolls in high school. Mike befriends his son, Alex, who is struggling with bullying, and discovers his daughter, Maggie, is dating an abusive boyfriend. As Mike navigates teenage life, he attempts to reconnect with Scarlet and guide his children, realizing that his second chance isn't about reclaiming his basketball dreams but about mending his family.
