Overview
In the tranquil village of Rajakkad, Kerala, Georgekutty (Mohanlal), a cable television operator, leads a contented life with his wife, Rani (Meena), and their two daughters, Anju (Ansiba Hassan) and Anu (Esther Anil). Their peaceful existence is disrupted when Anju becomes the target of Varun Prabhakar (Roshan Basheer), the spoiled son of Inspector General of Police Geetha Prabhakar (Asha Sarath). During a school trip, Varun surreptitiously films Anju in a compromising situation and later attempts to blackmail her into sexual compliance. In a desperate bid to protect her family, Rani confronts Varun, leading to a tragic accident where Anju inadvertently kills him. The family, in a state of panic, conceals the body, setting off a chain of events that tests their unity and resilience.
As the investigation into Varun's disappearance intensifies, led by the determined IG Geetha Prabhakar, the family faces mounting pressure. Georgekutty, leveraging his extensive knowledge of films and storytelling, devises a meticulous plan to mislead the authorities and safeguard his loved ones. The narrative delves into themes of familial devotion, the lengths one will go to protect loved ones, and the moral complexities inherent in such decisions. Director Jeethu Joseph masterfully blends elements of crime, drama, and thriller genres, creating a taut and suspenseful atmosphere that keeps the audience engaged. The film's tone is both intense and emotionally charged, as it explores the psychological toll of the family's actions and the ethical dilemmas they confront.
