Mardaani 3 मर्दानी 3 (2026) — Hindi Action

In the bustling city of Bulandshahr, India, the sudden disappearance of Ruhani, the daughter of an Indian diplomat, sets off a chain of events that draws the attention of Senior Superintendent of Police Shivani Shivaji Roy. Known for her relentless pursuit of justice, Shivani is assigned to lead the investigation into Ruhani's abduction. As she delves deeper, she uncovers a disturbing pattern: 93 young girls from impoverished backgrounds have vanished under similar circumstances in the past three months. This revelation propels Shivani into a high-stakes mission to rescue the missing children and dismantle the criminal network responsible. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, "Mardaani 3" is a gripping crime thriller that explores themes of human trafficking, systemic corruption, and the resilience of the human spirit. The film introduces Amma, portrayed by Mallika Prasad, as the formidable antagonist leading a beggar mafia syndicate involved in the abductions. Shivani's investigation reveals that the kidnapped girls are being used as test subjects in illegal experiments involving a mutated HPV virus intended to accelerate cervical cancer drug trials. The narrative is marked by intense action sequences and a taut, suspenseful atmosphere, characteristic of the thriller genre. Released on January 30, 2026, "Mardaani 3" received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics. Rani Mukerji's performance as Shivani Shivaji Roy was widely praised for its intensity and depth, with Bollywood Hungama awarding the film 3.5 out of 5 stars and highlighting Mukerji's "ferocious and emotionally razor-sharp performance." However, some critics noted that the film's second half suffered from predictable plot twists and a lack of menacing antagonists compared to its predecessors. Despite these critiques, "Mardaani 3" stands as a significant entry in the franchise, continuing to shed light on pressing social issues through its compelling narrative.
